If you’re enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and looking for a fulfilling full-time position, the Senior Event Coordinator role could be the right fit. This position offers a competitive hourly wage between $26 and $30, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. You’ll also enjoy flexibility and advancement opportunities.
With an emphasis on hospitality and operations, this role is ideal for candidates eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a positive customer experience. Use your communication and organizational skills while supporting exciting food programs. The job also offers valuable networking with a broad variety of excellent local restaurants, making it ideal for those interested in the food service industry.
What Does the Day-to-Day Look Like?
Daily, you’ll assist with Fooda events by setting up and tearing down sites, keeping everything clean, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Part of your job is to back up team members as a cashier at Fooda Cafés when needed, helping to ensure smooth transactions for all customers. You’re also responsible for making sure partner restaurants get access to work sites and handling any logistical hiccups.
In this hands-on role, you’ll use Fooda’s technology and standard operating procedures. Technical troubleshooting, real-time customer service, and on-site promotions will fill your days, and you’ll need to resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently. When problems can’t be fixed on your own, you’ll be able to escalate them to the Operations Manager for support.
Key Advantages of the Role
One of the main perks is the opportunity to earn a strong hourly wage, plus eligibility for health, dental, and vision insurance. The full-time schedule is Monday to Friday, so you enjoy regular hours and work-life balance. With a paid vacation plan and 401k retirement savings, your financial and personal well-being is supported.
The chance to network with local restaurants can open doors, whether aiming to advance within the company or simply grow professionally. You’ll receive hands-on training, enjoy free food, and work with a team that values creativity and problem-solving.
Potential Downsides to Consider
On the flip side, the role can be physically demanding given the regular set-up and tear-down tasks. Managing diverse issues in real-time can be stressful, especially during high activity periods. Candidates lacking hospitality or food service experience may face a steeper learning curve initially. Finally, using your own vehicle for work-related travel may not suit everyone.
The Verdict
The Senior Event Coordinator role is well-suited for someone who thrives in customer-focused, dynamic environments and wants both stability and upward mobility. If you’re enthusiastic, ready to work hands-on, and eager to join a company that values growth and support, this could be an excellent opportunity.
