Your Day-to-Day as a Supply and Demand Planner

In this role, you will be accountable for building and maintaining reliable supply and demand plans. Collaboration with Marketing and Sales is at the heart of your daily work.

You will manage the end-to-end Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including preparing and presenting forecasts for review and optimisation.

The job involves analysing current demand patterns and refining the forecasting process. Insights from recent market changes are important to your workflows.

Leading local S&OP meetings, proposing improvements, and optimising the flow between supply and demand are central to your routine tasks.

No strict degree requirements mean this opportunity is accessible for a wider pool of candidates ready to excel.

Strong Points of the Role

This position offers the chance to work closely with various teams. You enhance planning processes and ensure smooth operations across the business.

Being entrusted with S&OP leadership gives you a strong voice in operational decision-making. You can significantly impact the effectiveness of inventory and production planning.

Downsides to Consider

The fast-paced, collaborative environment may be demanding for some, especially those unaccustomed to constant cross-department communication or tight deadlines.

The expectations for accuracy and continual improvement in forecasting mean that the learning curve may be steep for newcomers to supply chain roles.

Verdict: Is This Job for You?

If you are keen on improved organisational flow, enjoy problem-solving within operations, and have a knack for planning, this job aligns with your career goals.

The absence of a strict degree requirement further broadens opportunities for a diverse applicant base, allowing you to demonstrate your skills in a vital operations role.
