All categories have male and female modalities. Of the total, 22 are mixed and have male and female competitors.
Brazil has been growing more and more with each edition of the Olympics. In 2021, the country secured 21 medals, including 7 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze.
This represented an increase of 2 medals compared to 2016.

- Volleyball: Brazil is a two-time Olympic champion in men's and women's volleyball, and is always a favorite to win the podium
- Soccer: The Brazilian men's soccer team is seeking its third gold medal in the category, repeating the feat of 2016 and 2021.
- Skateboarding: Brazil was one of the countries that stood out the most in skateboarding's debut at the Olympics in 2021, and has a chance of winning medals with Rayssa Leal, “Fadinha”, Kelvin Hoefler and Pedro Barros.
- Surfing: the chances of medals are concentrated especially on Ítalo Ferreira, Gabriel Medina and Tatiana Weston-Webb.
